Contest Alert: GGG's Upcoming 100th Blog
OK, so it's not really all that fabulous a contest, but I figured I might have to bribe a couple of you to participate, LOL! And may I just send out a huge HOOTY HOO to HisGirl for the ROCKIN', SMOKIN' HOT GGG Contest Button!!
Today's post is No. 98, and in preparation for my 100th blog, I would like to toss out a challenge to you, the Readership. My 100th blog will be a compilation of your input and my reflections. Please help me out by leaving a comment on this entry!!! These are the kinds of things I'm interested to know and share:
1) What you have learned about me in the last 100 blogs?
2) What was your favorite entry? Funniest? Saddest? Most controversial? etc...
3) What have you learned about yourself through reading this blog?
4) Anything else about which you'd like to put in your two cents-worth...
If you happen to remember which post it came from, tell me the date or title. I will work studiously to link everything up and compile the list for my Big Bloggy Blowout!!! (Maybe my superhero name should be Alliteration Girl...)
And for those of you that leave comments to participate, I have decided to sweeten the pot with an iTunes gift card. I'll be all random and stuff so it's not rigged. Although kissing up is completely encouraged at this point to boost ye olde ego... :)
Thanks in advance! Big bloggy smooches, pooches!!!

1) What you have learned about me in the last 100 blogs?
I've learned that you are far more trouble that I ever could have imagined from what I learned from meeting and seeing you in person. HAHA! You always were dressed beautifully, as well as the kids. You always had it 'together'. You were always polite, well-mannered, and for goodness sake, a VIOLIN player! After reading your bloggy goodness, well, you're just another lunatic like the rest of us. Now I'm going to run...and hide...someplace. HAHAHA!
2) What was your favorite entry? Funniest? Saddest? Most controversial? etc...
I think that I would have to say the one about Tom's socks. I laughed and cried at the same time. The thing is, though, that it was a myspace blog first, so I'll add in my favorite 'exclusively blogger' blog. Actually, it's a toss up between 'Boldly and Judiciously' (February 3) and 'We All Need a Barnabas (March 13). You are gifted in expressing revelation that God gives you on His word so that the rest of us can reflect and learn something that we wouldn't have thought up on our own. Thank you for being such a beautiful tool for His glory!
3) What have you learned about yourself through reading this blog?
I've learned many things about myself. First, if you can handle what you have with the grace given by God as you have so obviously received, then I'm capable of doing the same thing if I can shut up long enough to TRUST him. Second, that I CAN trust him because he's shown through you that he won't let his children fall. Third, that I can be someone's inspiration/Barnabas (or God forbid, the opposite) so I need to keep myself in check and be a good example. Fourth, that I shouldn't be so uptight that my friends call me 'Grandma'. Don't ask. HAHA. Fifth, that my kids' view of their dad is based majorly on my imput or lack thereof.
4) Anything else about which you'd like to put in your two cents-worth..
You rock! Wait, you know that. Hm. I don't know then. Love you, Girl!
OH NO! SENT YOU THE WRONG ONE! THAT ONE IS CROOKED! FIXING NOW!
okay, i sent it! now, please fix! my slip is showing! aaak!

2) What was your favorite entry? you know I love socks. Also, the bird posts.
3) What have you learned about yourself through reading this blog? I have learned that I love me some kim! And I have also learned about living learning laughing and loving
4) Anything else about which you'd like to put in your two cents-worth... yah, you are a cool chica, with lots to say. I can't wait to see what you do with your next 100 posts!
hmmm. I'm going to have to get back to you on this. Does this comment count as my entry though??
OH! And MAJORLY, beyond COOL button!
1) What you have learned about me in the last 100 blogs? You don't pull punches, and you write from the heart. You are wise beyond your years.
2) What was your favorite entry? Funniest? Saddest? Most controversial? etc... I guess my favorite posts are hard to discern because I love transparency and authenticity, and you exhibit those in all your posts. I DO love the one on lil G for her b'day. So touching. Also, I tend to like your rants. :) I love that you are not boxed or bottled Christianity.
3) What have you learned about yourself through reading this blog?
I haven't had too many stark revelations, but rather the continuing sense that if we really listen to one another and really seek to understand, our potential for grace giving and receiving (from each other) abounds.
4) Anything else about which you'd like to put in your two cents-worth...Just this. I'm honored that I got to meet you in real life. That I think you are like my favorite Mexican food: Spicy and delicious.
xxxooohappy100thpost,gretchen
These kind of posts amaze me:http://godsguitargirl.blogspot.com/2008/07/happy-anniversary-schmupps.html Your honesty and transparency gives me courage to be more open in my own life. I remember the Tom's socks one too. I have to go add you to my bloglines RIGHT now as when my sieve brain remembers to come here, I am glad every time I do!
1) What you have learned about me in the last 100 blogs?
That you're as funny and enthusiastic about the rest of your life as you are when we're together making music. Which is cool.
2) What was your favorite entry? Funniest? Saddest? Most controversial? etc...
I'm gonna just say that the one about the feet did me in.
3) What have you learned about yourself through reading this blog?
That, even though I'm not always sure I am, most people see me as relaxed and groovy. Ciao.
4) Anything else about which you'd like to put in your two cents-worth...
I think we should make the Rudy's thing a regular event.
I have learned that you are an incredible writer. Your talent for describing things and feelings gets better with each post, yet never predictable(except that it's going to for sure be good). I can't have a favorite, there are too many good choices. Although I scoff at the ones that sock me in the gut, I am so honored by your vulnerability. And I love intelligent humor, and the fact that you don't dumb it down for those of us who are 'simpler'. Learned about myself through reading your blog? That I am blessed beyond measure that I get to know you and call you friend. 2 cents? - keep on writing!
